Perry J. Johnson III, AIF® focuses on advising and creating comprehensive financial plans for his clients that are in line with their specific goals and objectives. He’s been in the financial services industry for over 20 years and enjoys providing objective guidance to all his clients, businesses and individuals alike. He not only reviews investments but analyzes several key areas to ensure that the financial plan is comprehensive and that gaps are minimized.
While his goal is to provide organization and clarity to his clients’ overall financial plan, Perry recognizes that there is far more to financial planning than just having funds to save or invest. He also believes in reviewing the client’s current situation and life goals and creating a plan that puts them on a path towards pursuing those goals. He extends this life planning to the work he does with children, coaching and assisting them in being healthy and physically fit.
Perry earned his MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business. He also holds FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63 registrations with LPL Financial, Series 65 with Trilogy Capital, Inc., and also holds Life, Health, Disability and Long-Term Care Insurance Licenses.
Preparation for retirement is extremely important, and it extends well beyond finances. That’s why you need to work on your retirement compatibility with your partner way before you stop working.
When selecting a Financial Advisor, it’s important to know they will be looking out for you and the money you worked hard for all your life. Not all financial advisors are the same. When considering a financial advisor to partner with, it’s important to know if they are fiduciaries, meaning they will be ethically obligated to work in your best interests to help you reach your goals.
In addition to awareness, you need action. You need focused, decisive and immediate action to see change and to get yourself back on the road to financial independence.
FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) is trending as a new financial lifestyle. FIRE promotes extreme savings in your 20s, 30s and 40s, with the goal of being able to live off passive income from the accumulated nest egg much earlier than typical retirement age.
Financial Life Planning is about actually starting — taking a few good steps in the right direction and then taking a few more.
