Gunner is, first and foremost, a trusted people-person. His genuine interest in others, strong communication skills, and penchant for leadership help him connect with individuals from all walks of life.
Upon learning about Financial Planning in an introductory business course, Gunner successfully pursued his Financial Planning degree from Colorado State University. He realized his passion for one-on-one interaction and problem-solving within the financial planning field via a summer internship with Trilogy in 2018. Gunner, an Encinitas native, was proud to return to San Diego and continue his post-grad career with Trilogy.
Gunner’s interest in the financial world stems from growing up in a household of four children and seeing how money affected his family’s choices. He realized from a young age that financial education is essential to living a comfortable life. Gunner is steadfast in his belief that financial literacy is a right rather than a privilege; it is his mission to assist families and individuals in reaching their full financial potential. In his spare time, he can be found at the beach, cooking, and constantly listening to music.
Gunner holds the FINRA Series 65 registration with Trilogy Capital as well as the California Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License.
Preparation for retirement is extremely important, and it extends well beyond finances. That’s why you need to work on your retirement compatibility with your partner way before you stop working.
When selecting a Financial Advisor, it’s important to know they will be looking out for you and the money you worked hard for all your life. Not all financial advisors are the same. When considering a financial advisor to partner with, it’s important to know if they are fiduciaries, meaning they will be ethically obligated to work in your best interests to help you reach your goals.
In addition to awareness, you need action. You need focused, decisive and immediate action to see change and to get yourself back on the road to financial independence.
FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) is trending as a new financial lifestyle. FIRE promotes extreme savings in your 20s, 30s and 40s, with the goal of being able to live off passive income from the accumulated nest egg much earlier than typical retirement age.
