Dana Edwards believes strongly that a sound financial strategy is grounded in clarity and commitment to daily action in order to make one’s goals a reality. Dana’s passion for financial planning was founded in her tenure as a music educator. Attaining financial freedom in one’s life is much like learning to play an instrument - it takes focus, diligent practice, and commitment – and then one day, you can play Mozart. In financial planning, those same habits can lead to a future where financial freedom is attainable. Dana holds the FINRA series 7 and series 66 registrations as well as Life, Health, and Long-Term Care insurance licenses in Colorado and California.
Dana received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from Mills College’s prestigious program in Oakland, California. For over 10 years, she managed a private piano studio of 30+ students. In 2012, she returned to Mills College to acquire her MBA where she quickly remembered her love of economics, policy, and finance. Having been raised by an entrepreneur, Dana understands deeply the need for independence, freedom, and the ability to live one’s life the way they choose. She brings these principles to her advising practice and aims to instill this clarity and momentum for her clients in every decision they make.
Dana grew up in Detroit but has spent most of her life in the American West, calling home the San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, and now, in the mountains west of Boulder, where she lives with her husband Aaron, Frida the dog, and Aja the cat. She enjoys hiking the trails of the Front Range, making music with her husband, and being part of the energetic social scene of Denver.
